Henkel’s Adhesive Technologies business unit is hiring a Business Development Manager to identify new opportunities to grow sales of Henkel products and solutions in the automotive industry, with a focus on the PCB Protection and Power Electronics segments. The role draws on market knowledge, strategic planning, business modelling and value proposition development to take opportunities through to commercialisation with selected targets. It works closely with Marketing, Product Development, Legal, Finance, Sales and Application Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify new opportunities to increase sales of Henkel products and solutions in the automotive industry, especially PCB Protection and Power Electronics
  • Apply market knowledge to opportunity incubation, strategic planning, business modelling and value proposition generation, leading to commercialisation with selected targets
  • Lead collaboration with Marketing, Product Development, Legal, Finance, Sales and Application Engineering in line with business unit strategy
  • Establish a discernment process for innovation projects and maintain a robust innovation pipeline across offerings, applications and services
  • Lead regional strategic planning and resource allocation, and support global efforts to develop the opportunity and value proposition
  • Develop and support the strategy map and customer roadmaps, steering profitable growth regionally
  • Build customer and market relationships and carry out strategic customer portfolio planning in new and high-potential markets

Requirements


Essential: bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical field; 5+ years’ experience in, and deep understanding of, the electronics and/or electrification industry, including applications and market segment trends; excellent networking, relationship building, negotiating and assessment skills, with a strong ability to market new value propositions, products and services; ability to lead and operate in ambiguity; excellent presentation skills, including chart design and delivery; proven track record managing complex projects in multi-stakeholder environments; ability to travel up to 30%, including some international travel.
