Lyten is recruiting a Senior TechOps Engineer to develop and maintain its TechOps landscape, keeping production systems reliable, performant and scalable. The role centres on high availability across environments, automation that streamlines operations, and close collaboration with development, QA and infrastructure teams on deployment pipelines and CI/CD. It spans cloud, on-premises and hybrid infrastructure, with monitoring, alerting and logging ownership, on-call rotations and incident response. Lyten is building products on Lyten 3D Graphene, from lithium-sulfur batteries and energy storage systems to concrete admixtures, composites and sensors, and is scaling production across the U.S. and Europe. Founded in 2015 in Silicon Valley, it has raised over $625 million in equity and acquired Northvolt assets in California, Poland, Sweden and Germany, including what it describes as Europe’s largest BESS manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain production systems for high availability and performance across all environments
  • Implement and manage monitoring, alerting and logging that surface issues before they affect operations
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools in languages such as Python, Bash or PowerShell to cut manual effort and improve consistency
  • Support deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes with development, QA and infrastructure teams to keep software releases smooth and reliable
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments
  • Take part in on-call rotations and incident response to resolve critical issues quickly with minimal service disruption
  • Drive improvements in system reliability, scalability and efficiency through proactive analysis and optimisation
  • Document operational procedures and share knowledge across teams

Requirements

Essential:

  • Strong technical expertise in scripting, cloud platforms and system architecture
  • Experience supporting systems across cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments
  • Working knowledge of deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes
  • Experience with monitoring, alerting and logging solutions
  • A proactive mindset for identifying and driving improvements in reliability, scalability and operational efficiency

Desirable:

  • Scripting experience in Python, Bash or PowerShell
