This Maintenance Technician role sits within YASA’s Oxford operations, acting as the first point of contact for machine breakdowns and supporting production output through both reactive fault-finding and planned preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair faults as the first port of call for machine breakdowns
- Provide technical support to achieve production output standards
- Plan and execute proactive preventative maintenance programmes to minimise downtime
- Work from mechanical and schematic drawings to assist with fault finding
- Advise on technical issues, liaising with engineers and the production team and supporting continuous improvement activities
- Monitor machine performance
Requirements
Essential: qualified to 17th Edition level or equivalent, with good knowledge of fault finding and repair across electrical and mechanical systems; proven previous experience working within a manufacturing environment; proven experience with PLCs, pneumatic and hydraulic systems as well as robotics; IT literate and able to navigate systems easily; organised and self-motivated with safety awareness of electrical, compressed air and pressurised systems; good verbal and written communication skills; a UK driving licence and availability to support visits to supplier sites.
