Nestech lamination stacks cover laser-cut single laminations and complete stator and rotor core stacks for electric motors and generators with non-standard geometries. Nestech is a business unit of Carbonveneta Nestech srl in Valdastico, Italy, and can supply parts and subassemblies for e-mobility traction motors, permanent magnet motors, wind and hydro generators and linear motors.

From a single prototype to larger batches

For e-mobility, Nestech supports R&D and engineering teams during product development, with a particular orientation towards powertrain applications. Prototypes can start from a single piece, and the company also handles small series, larger batches and reverse engineering of existing laminations, including worn or damaged ones.

Laser accuracy carried through to the finished stack

Laminations are cut on 2 kW fibre laser systems built to Nestech’s specification, with ±0.025 mm precision, a 3000 x 1500 mm working area and a beam fine enough for complex profiles. Nestech lamination stacks are assembled by Backlack bonding or by welding, and turned where tight tolerances are needed. The company is ISO 9001:2015 certified and inspects laminations and stacks on 2D scanning and 3D probe coordinate measuring machines.

Composites expertise applied to rotors

Nestech combines its laminated core experience with composites know-how from Carbonveneta in ultra-thin PMSM rotors with surface-mounted magnets and a carbon fibre wrap, designed for mechanical stability above 10,000 rpm.
