Nucletron Technologies GmbH

Location: Germany

Capabilities: Power electronics, Safety, Testing, Thermal management

Nucletron Technologies supplies high reliability and high performance electronics and electromechanicals. For over six decades the company has operated as an importer and manufacturer of electronic components and systems from Munich, introducing and supporting many well-known brands in the German market, and its products and components fit applications that demand the highest performance. Nucletron’s engineers provide design-in and application support as required.

High voltage relays and contactors

The high voltage relay range runs from 1.8 kV to 70 kV dielectric ratings. For high voltage switching at mean current values Nucletron recommends Kilovac relays, which are vacuum or gas filled so the arc is suppressed and extinguished. Many are hermetically sealed, resistant to shock, vibration and extreme temperatures, and able to operate in high humidity.

Hermetically sealed DC contactors offer safety disconnect for all types of energy source. The range covers 100 A (LEV100, EV100), 400 A (EV250), 500 A (LEV200, EV200) and 600 A (EV500), with economiser and high-temperature versions. The PD10 serves as a pre-charge relay in high power DC systems, and the three-pole AC30 is rated at 60 A per pole. Applications include EVs, hybrid-electric vehicles, chargers, inverters, electric boats, fuel cells and photovoltaic systems.

Thermal management from gap fillers to Peltier modules

Fujipoly gap fillers come as super soft pads from 1.3 to 17 W/mK, as putty-type material that adds no significant counter pressure on surrounding components, and as dispensable form-in-place material from 1.5 to 5 W/mK for automated application. Thermal foils, tubes, gaskets and customised extrusion profiles sit alongside silicone-free and electromagnetic wave absorbing options.

On the active side, Nucletron offers Peltier modules from 2 x 2 mm to 60 x 80 mm with heat pumping capacity from under 1 W to over 200 W. Its strength is customised design, including six-stage modules reaching minus 133 °C, and a robust TEC series is built for cycling applications with an MTBF expectancy of up to one million cycles.

Measurement, wider range and quality

Pearson current monitors measure AC currents from milliamps to megamps without contact and sense current pulses with rise times from 2 nanoseconds, with special models for use in oil or vacuum. The wider range also includes electron tubes, microwave tubes, reed relays, low voltage and hermetically sealed relays, RF shielding components and measurement instrumentation.

Nucletron Technologies is a wholly owned subsidiary of NUCLETRON Electronic AG, its origins date back to 1954, and it is certified to ISO 9001:2015.
